Now I Know My CBD's

FAQs

There is a lot of hype in the world of craft hemp (CBD) – and it can be overwhelming and super confusing! We developed this page for friends who wonder what all the buzz is about, how craft hemp works in your body, and how transparency with testing matters! Now, let’s get into the facts and all the good stuff!

General

Where is Tropink made?

Tropink is made with love in the Pacific Northwest, Oregon.

We use Broad-Spectrum Hemp which preserves the integrity of the whole plant, but removes the THC. It also contains all available vitamins, minerals and terpenes for the entourage effect.

What is CBD and why drink CBD beverages?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-intoxicating plant compound found in hemp plants. CBD supports the positive effects of endocannabinoids (ECs), which are natural cellular messengers made in our own bodies. ECs help regulate our body systems to maintain optimal functioning in shaping how we feel and experience life every day. CBD gives our system a helping hand to achieve this balance. As well as CBD, there are hundreds of other cannabinoids in these plants - a few of the most well-known being CBN, CBG, and CBC.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabis plants produce sticky, oily, hydrophobic compounds known as cannabinoids, which interact with the endocannabinoid system. There are more than 100 cannabis-derived cannabinoids.

Where do you source your Broad-Spectrum Hemp?

Our broad-spectrum hemp is harvested from highest quality farms located in Oregon, Washington, California, and Colorado to name a few. Not all emulsions are created equal! We partner with SōRSE Technology who converts the broad-spectrum distillate to a water-soluble emulsion. SōRSE implements Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and conducts internal and third-party testing to produce a Certificate of Analysis for all final materials.

Are CBD and THC the same thing?

CBD and THC are EXTREMELY different. THC is psychoactive so when it reacts with our cannabinoid receptors it causes a ‘high’ – the ‘stoned’ feeling that cannabis is known for.

CBD is non-intoxicating, non-addictive, and non-toxic.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is an active compound in the cannabis plant with psychoactive attributes, while cannabidiol (CBD) is another compound in the cannabis plant that can block activation of pain receptors to ease physical discomfort.

How will Tropink make me feel?

Some friends might get a sense of relaxation from drinking Pink Cloud, some friends might not. Even if you don’t physically feel anything, be assured that the CBD is working with your body's receptors in massive amounts of ways unlike an alcoholic beverage. It's more about what you do not feel, so you can enjoy each day to it's fullest.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are organic compounds that occur naturally in plant oils, and hemp and cannabis plants have concentrated levels of them. When added to CBD oil, terpenes help deliver the ‘entourage effect’ which means they help your body get the most benefit possible from the CBD.

What is the entourage effect?

The entourage effect is the synergy created by all cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and other phytochemicals found in the hemp plant, reacting together to create a more therapeutic benefit. Simply put creating a effect greater than the sum of their parts which means better results!

What is allulose?

Allulose can be found naturally in figs, raisins, and maple syrup. It is a naturally occurring rare sugar with roughly 70% the sweetness and 1/10 the calories of raw sugar.  We use Allulose that is Gluten Free and Non-GMO.

What's the expiration for Tropink?

Tropink has a 12 month shelf life, when you flip over the can you will see best buy date (BBD).

Testing & Safety

Is CBD legal? And will I test positive in a drug test?

In 2018 The Farm Bill made it federally legal to grow hemp and extract CBD, as long as it is from hemp plants which contain less than 0.3% THC. The Food and Drug Administration is studying CBD and has not approved it as a food additive or dietary supplement yet. Consumers are advised to use their own judgment in consuming ingestible CBD products.

Depending upon the processing method, there can be small amounts of THC found in hemp extract. When consumed at suggested servings, these traces of THC should not cause a positive drug test for most people. However, due to individual metabolism and less sophisticated testing methods used by some testing companies, outlying results are possible. Anyone who is concerned about taking a drug test should talk with their doctor, employer, or drug screening company.

What do we test for in Tropink?

All of our Premium Non-Alcoholic Functional Beverages are powered by our partner SōRSE. Here you can find the COA from them for a peace of mind.

We are about transparency plus an extra peace of mind! This is why we send additional samples to a third-party lab for more testing.  Here you can find our 3rd Party Lab (Columbia Labotories) tests for the Pink Cloud Beverage you are currently imbibing.

How should I store Tropink?

Tropink is shelf-stable. That said, we propose you chill it before cracking it open to enhance the experience and tropical tastes of the islands.
